Our Statement of Faith outlines the core beliefs that guide our ministry, outreach, and community engagement. As followers of Christ, we affirm the following truths: 1. The Bible We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate source of truth and guidance for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105) 2. The SEP Trinity Jehovah, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The term "SEP" signifies "separated," yet all three—Jehovah, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit—work together as One. This unity mirrors the sacred bond of marriage, as described in Genesis 2:24: "For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh." Though two individuals do not become one person, they work together as one—just as the SEP Trinity does. 3. God the Father We believe in God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is sovereign, holy, and loving. He desires a personal relationship with all His children and is the source of all life and goodness. (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 64:8, John 3:16) 4. Jesus Christ We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught with divine authority. He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He ascended to heaven, where He intercedes for us, and He will return in glory to establish His kingdom. (John 1:1-14, Philippians 2:5-11, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). 5. The Holy Spirit We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the presence of God in the world today. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates the believer, and empowers us to live holy and faithful lives. The Spirit provides spiritual gifts for the building up of the church. (John 14:26, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-23) 6. Salvation Jesus said, “Unless you repent, you will perish.” Luke 13:5 We believe that salvation is a gift of God, a gift you accept after you repent. It is not earned by good works but is given freely to those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Through His death and resurrection, we are reconciled to God, forgiven of our sins, and granted eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16) 7. The Church We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. Purpose of Water Baptism Water baptism serves as a public declaration of faith and obedience to Christ. It symbolizes the believer's identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. 2. Building Faith While water baptism is an important step in the believer's journey, it is primarily a reflection of the faith that already exists in the heart. It helps to strengthen and affirm one's faith within the community of believers. 3. Not a Requirement for Salvation The Bible clearly teaches that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, not through the act of baptism itself. Relevant Scriptures John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Ephesians 2:8-9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." Policy Statement The safety and security of all individuals within Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters are of utmost importance. We are dedicated to maintaining a space that is free from harm, violence, and other risks by implementing proactive safety measures, clear procedures, and consistent enforcement of rules and protocols. Scope This policy applies to all guests, staff, volunteers, visitors, and contractors at Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters. Safety and Security Measures 1. Entry and Exit Monitoring All individuals entering or exiting the shelter must check in and out at designated entry points. Scope This policy applies to all individuals involved with Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters, including guests, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Policy Statement Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters encourage open communication and strive to resolve grievances promptly and equitably. All grievances will be taken seriously, investigated thoroughly, and handled with confidentiality and respect. Definition of a Grievance A grievance is any concern, complaint, or issue raised by an individual regarding: Violations of shelter policies or rules. Harassment, discrimination, or mistreatment.
