Isaiah extols the Lord as the source of salvation, emphasizing that JEHOVAH is not only the strength of His people but also their song of deliverance. 3. Exodus 6:3 "And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them." In this passage, God reveals His name, JEHOVAH to Moses, highlighting its significance as a revelation distinct from His previous interactions with the patriarchs. 4. Isaiah 26:4 "Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in JEHOVAH is everlasting strength." Isaiah emphasizes that JEHOVAH provides unwavering strength—an eternal foundation for trust and reliance. 5. Genesis 22:14 "And Abraham called the name of that place JEHOVAHjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen." 6. Exodus 17:15 "And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it JEHOVAHnissi:" 7. Judges 6:24 "Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it JEHOVAHshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. Remember, the King James Version preserves the sacredness of this name, allowing us to connect with the Almighty through the ages. Other translations have removed God's name JEHOVAH in the Bible, and some translations have removed JEHOVAH all together and replaced it with the name Lord. "The More You Know" Faith in Eternal Life: John 17:3 And this is eternal life—that they know you, the only true God, Jehovah, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. Matthew 25:46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life. John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes Jehovah who sent me Jesus, has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. How to Endure Temptation? James 1:13-18 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted by Jehovah: for Jehovah cannot be tempted with evil, nor tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away from his own lust, and enticed... Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of Lights, with whom there is no variableness, no shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. Jesus and His Relationship with God No One Has Seen God Except Jesus: John 1:18 states, “No one has ever seen God; the only God, except Jesus, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.” This verse emphasizes that Jesus uniquely reveals God to humanity. If you’ve seen Jesus, you’ve encountered God’s Spirit in him, but you did not see God. The Bible states in Exodus 33:20 Jehovah says, “You cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” Which means Jesus was not God, as if Jesus were God, then everyone would have died that looked upon Jesus. Jesus’ Words About His Father: Jesus acknowledges the Father’s greatness. He says, “My Father (Jehovah) is greater than I, Jesus” (John 14:28). Why Did Jesus Say, “Why Do You Call Me Good?”: When someone addressed Jesus as “good,” Jesus responded, “Why do you call me good? Jesus said, No one is good except God (Jehovah) alone” (Mark 10:18). Jesus didn’t claim equality with God in every aspect. Jesus’ Prayers to God (Jehovah): Jesus prayed to God, demonstrating His dependence and relationship with the Father Jehovah. His prayers were genuine, not for show. For instance, in the Garden of Gethsemane, He prayed fervently before His arrest (Matthew 26:36-46). You Are gods: In Psalm 82:6, it says, “I said, ‘You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High.’” Jesus referenced this passage when confronted by the Jews, who accused Him of making Himself equal to God (John 10:34-36). The context suggests that humans, as God’s representatives, are called “gods” (with a lowercase “g”). The Father, the Holy Spirit, and the Word are "ONE" as stated in 1 John 5:7. Just as a married couple becomes "ONE" flesh, they work together as "ONE", as stated in Mark 10:8. This does not mean two fleshly bodies become one fleshly body; it just means two people are working together as one. As all three Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus work together as One. Jesus Praying to God, Jehovah Hebrews 5:7 "Jesus offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One (Jehovah) able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety." Luke 3:21 "Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while Jesus was praying, heaven was opened," Matthew 14:23 "After He had sent the crowds away, Jesus went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone." (This verse shows us that Jesus was not praying to show others how to pray, because Jesus went by himself to pray alone, and praying to his Father, Jehovah.) Mark 6:46 After bidding them farewell, Jesus left for the mountain to pray. Luke 6:12 It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and Jesus spent the whole night in prayer to God. Mark 1:35 In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, went away to a secluded place, and was praying there. Luke 5:16 But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray. Mark 14:39 Again Jesus went away and prayed, saying the same words. There are several more verses where Jesus prayed to Father Jehovah, but it will take of the entire page writing them. You get the picture though. The Mark of the Beast: What Does Revelation 13:17 Say? “so that no one can buy, sell or trade unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.” This verse continues to describe the False Prophet’s implementation of the “mark of the beast.” The Greek word used here is “charagma,” which originally referred to the branding of livestock. But in this context, it symbolizes something far more profound—a mark that identifies the bearer as loyal to the Antichrist. (Revelation 13:16) "he causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead" "If You Worship the Beast or take the Mark" (Revelation 14:9-11) And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receives his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. Jehovah Saints is Strong Faith like Abraham, David and Solomon: Biblical Polygamy Strong Faith means we have a better understanding of God. David’s Wives and God’s Role In 2 Samuel 12:7-8, God gave David all of Saul’s wives. These women were given to David directly by God Himself. This act demonstrates that God did not see anything wrong with David having multiple wives. Other Biblical Examples of Polygamy King David was not the only man in the Bible with multiple wives. Esteemed Men in God’s Eyes. Despite their polygamous relationships, both David and Solomon were highly esteemed by God. Their actions were recorded in the Bible for us to learn from.. Differing Views Among Preachers Interestingly, many preachers today do not believe that having multiple wives is right. They often reference the teachings of Paul, whose faith was weak, Paul did not have a good understanding of God. Paul believes in one man and one wife, but God is fine with multiple wives, as Jehovah gave David all of Saul's wives. Romans 14 explains to us, what is sin to one person, is not sin to another. Romans 14 also explains, one person is weak in faith, and one is strong in faith. And the stronger faith, is not to tempt the weaker faith with what the weaker faith thinks is sin, because it really is sin to them but not sin to you. Sin is just a mistake; if you feel you made a mistake, just pray and ask God to forgive you, and God forgives and forgets. So if you were to pray again about what you thought was a mistake, God would not know what you were talking about. If the weaker faith person you tempted were to partake in what they think is sin, it is sin to them, and it harms them spiritually. When the spirit hurts, it does bodily harm, as stated in Proverbs 17:22 "...a broken spirit dries the bones." This verse explains to us, if you are hurting spiritually, it does bodily harm, you become ill, thinking you did something wrong, even though it is acceptable in God's eyes. Like I said, if you think you did something wrong, just ask for forgiveness, and God will heal your body. God’s Unchanging Nature The Bible asserts that God does not change; He remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. If God saw fit to bless David with multiple wives, who are we to say it was wrong? Christian Polygamy Contrary to some beliefs, Christian polygamy is not considered a sin in God's eyes. Instead of judging, we should pray for understanding when faced with differing viewpoints, as stated in Romans chapter 14. Trusting in God’s Wisdom Let us trust in God’s wisdom, even when His plans don’t align with our own beliefs. Just as David, Abraham, and Solomon had multiple wives, and girlfriends and they followed God’s will, we should seek to align ourselves with His divine plan. I have witnessed a heartbreaking incident where a doctor callously disregarded the life of an abortion baby, by placing it on the counter, then instructing the nurse to discard the baby into the trashcan once it stopped moving. Termination/Discharge Policy For Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters Purpose Jehovah Saints is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all individuals utilizing our homeless shelters. This Termination/Discharge Policy outlines the circumstances under which a guest may be discharged from the shelter, as well as the procedures to ensure fairness, transparency, and access to additional resources. Policy Statement Termination or discharge from Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters will only occur when necessary to uphold the safety, well-being, and integrity of the shelter community. All decisions will be made with fairness, compassion, and an emphasis on connecting individuals to alternative resources whenever possible. Grounds for Termination/Discharge A guest may be discharged from the shelter for any of the following reasons: Violation of Shelter Rules: Repeated or severe violations of shelter policies, including but not limited to: Violence or threats of violence toward staff, other guests, or visitors. Possession, use, or distribution of illegal substances or alcohol on shelter property. Theft or destruction of property. Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior. Safety Concerns: Behavior that poses a direct threat to the safety or well-being of the guest, other residents, or staff. Non-Compliance with Program Requirements: Refusal to participate in required programs or services, if such participation was agreed upon as part of the guest’s stay. Voluntary Departure: A guest may choose to leave the shelter at any time. Completion of Stay: The guest has successfully completed their stay and transitioned to permanent housing or another appropriate living arrangement. Ineligibility: Discovery that the guest does not meet the eligibility criteria for shelter services (e.g., misrepresentation of homelessness status). Discharge Procedure To ensure fairness and transparency, the following steps will be taken in the event of a termination or discharge: Incident Review: Staff will review the situation, including any violations or concerns, to determine if discharge is necessary. Warning (if applicable): For non-severe violations, guests will receive a verbal or written warning and an opportunity to correct their behavior. Notice of Discharge: If discharge is deemed necessary, the guest will be informed in writing (when possible) of the decision, including: The reason for discharge. The effective date and time of discharge. Any conditions for future re-admittance, if applicable. Referral to Resources: Staff will make every effort to connect the guest with alternative resources, including other shelters, housing programs, or support services. Appeal Process Guests who believe they have been unfairly discharged may appeal the decision by following these steps: Submit a written appeal to the Shelter Director within 7 days of discharge. The Shelter Director will review the appeal and meet with the guest (if possible) to discuss the situation. A final decision will be made within 5 business days of receiving the appeal. The guest will be informed of the decision in writing. No Retaliation Jehovah Saints prohibits retaliation against any guest who raises concerns about their discharge or files an appeal.
