In different languages, Jesus is referred to as: "Jesus" in English "Isa" in Arabic "Iēsoûs" in the original Greek from which the New Testament was translated. Abraham: A Unifying Patriarch Jews and Muslims share a common ancestor in Father Abraham, as both trace their lineage to his sons: Ishmael: Ancestor of Muslims Isaac: Ancestor of Jews/Hebrews This connection highlights their brotherly relationship and the shared foundation of their faiths. The English Bible is derived not from the original texts but from the Latin Bible. The Bible was originally written in Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew. Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke, is closely related to Arabic. For example, in Mark 15:34, Jesus cried out in Aramaic: "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" Which is translated as: "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" Biblical names and phrases are often pronounced differently across languages, reflecting the diversity of cultures and traditions around the world. • Statement of Faith | Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelter ProgramJehovah's HOUSE of Saints - Founder: Michael Hopkins

"Discover our Statement of Faith, outlining our core beliefs, values, and commitment to living out the teachings of Jesus Christ as the foundation of our faith and mission." Jehovah Saints Statement of Faith for Jehovah Saints Effective Date: 12/22/2024 At Jehovah Saints, we are a Christ-centered, Bible-based organization committed to sharing the Gospel, serving others, and living out the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our Statement of Faith outlines the core beliefs that guide our ministry, outreach, and community engagement. As followers of Christ, we affirm the following truths: 1. The Bible We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate source of truth and guidance for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105) 2. The SEP Trinity Jehovah, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The term "SEP" signifies "separated," yet all three—Jehovah, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit—work together as One. This unity mirrors the sacred bond of marriage, as described in Genesis 2:24: "For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh." Though two individuals do not become one person, they work together as one—just as the SEP Trinity does. 3. God the Father We believe in God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is sovereign, holy, and loving. He desires a personal relationship with all His children and is the source of all life and goodness. (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 64:8, John 3:16) 4. Jesus Christ We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught with divine authority. He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He ascended to heaven, where He intercedes for us, and He will return in glory to establish His kingdom. (John 1:1-14, Philippians 2:5-11, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). 5. The Holy Spirit We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the presence of God in the world today. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates the believer, and empowers us to live holy and faithful lives. The Spirit provides spiritual gifts for the building up of the church. (John 14:26, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-23) 6. Salvation Jesus said, “Unless you repent, you will perish.” Luke 13:5 We believe that salvation is a gift of God, a gift you accept after you repent. It is not earned by good works but is given freely to those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Through His death and resurrection, we are reconciled to God, forgiven of our sins, and granted eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16) 7. The Church We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to glorify God, share the Gospel, disciple believers, and serve others in love. We are called to unity, fellowship, and mutual encouragement as we live out our faith together. (Matthew 28:19-20, Ephesians 4:4-6, Hebrews 10:24-25) God Does Not Dwell in Temples Made by Hands 1 Corinthians 3:16 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" You Are the Temple of God Acts 17:24-25 "God...dwelleth not in temples made with hands" 8. Baptism and Communion Understanding Water Baptism 1. Purpose of Water Baptism Water baptism serves as a public declaration of faith and obedience to Christ. It symbolizes the believer's identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. 2. Building Faith While water baptism is an important step in the believer's journey, it is primarily a reflection of the faith that already exists in the heart. It helps to strengthen and affirm one's faith within the community of believers. 3. Not a Requirement for Salvation The Bible clearly teaches that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, not through the act of baptism itself. Relevant Scriptures John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Ephesians 2:8-9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." Acts 16:31: "They replied, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.'" Romans 10:9: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Water baptism is a significant act of obedience that follows an individual's faith in Christ, but it is not a prerequisite for salvation. The essence of eternal life lies in believing in Jesus and accepting Him as Lord and Savior. 9. The Sanctity of Life We believe that all human life is sacred and created in the image of God, from conception to natural death. We are called to protect and honor the dignity of every person. (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13-16) 10. Marriage and Family We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God, uniting one man and woman, or women in a lifelong commitment. The family is the foundation of society, and we are called to nurture and strengthen it according to biblical principles. (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-33, Matthew 19:4-6) 11. The Great Commission We believe in the Great Commission, which calls all believers to share the Gospel and make disciples of all nations. We are committed to proclaiming the message of salvation and serving as Christ’s ambassadors in a broken world. (Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Corinthians 5:20) 12. The Return of Christ We believe in the visible, personal, and glorious return of Jesus Christ. He will establish His eternal kingdom, judge the living and the dead, and bring ultimate justice and restoration to the world. (Acts 1:11, Revelation 22:12-13, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) 13. Eternal Destiny We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. Those who place their faith in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the presence of God in heaven, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God in hell. (John 5:28-29, Revelation 20:11-15, Matthew 25:46) 14. Spiritual Growth and Holiness We believe that believers are called to grow in their faith through prayer, worship, studying God’s Word, and living in obedience to His commands. The Holy Spirit works within us to transform our hearts and minds, enabling us to live holy and Christlike lives. (Romans 12:1-2, Galatians 2:20, 1 Peter 1:15-16) Commitment to Our Faith Jehovah Saints is dedicated to living out these beliefs in every aspect of our ministry and community outreach. We invite all who share our faith to join us in worship, fellowship, and service as we work together to glorify God and advance His kingdom. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
