Pastor Victor Odhiambo, the leader of Bethel Fellowship Centre in Kenya and President of Jehovah Saints International, delivered a moving and powerful sermon this past Sunday. His message centered on Isaiah 41:10-15, a passage that reassures believers of God’s presence, strength, and protection.
Isaiah 41:10-15 – A Call to Fearlessness
The scripture reads:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)
This verse is a reminder that Jehovah is always with His people, providing strength and assurance in times of trouble. Pastor Odhiambo emphasized that fear has no place in the life of a believer because God's presence guarantees protection and victory.
Fear is Defeated by Faith
Pastor Odhiambo's sermon encouraged the congregation to stand firm in faith, knowing that Jehovah fights battles on behalf of His children.
Isaiah 41:13 – "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.’"
Psalm 27:1 – "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?"
Faith and trust in God remove the power of fear. When believers fully rely on Jehovah, they gain courage and confidence, knowing that their steps are guided and protected.
Victory Over Adversity
Pastor Odhiambo highlighted that Isaiah 41:15 speaks of triumph over enemies and challenges:
"See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff." (Isaiah 41:15)
This scripture assures believers that obstacles, no matter how great, will be overcome by God’s power. Just as mountains and hills can be reduced to dust, difficulties and fears crumble before the presence of Jehovah.
Gratitude for a Powerful Sermon
The church service was truly a success, filled with God’s presence and encouragement for all in attendance. Pastor Odhiambo’s message served as a powerful reminder that fear should never dictate our lives—faith and trust in Jehovah lead to strength, courage, and victory.
"I thank God for everything."
His sermon reinforced that gratitude and unwavering faith go hand in hand. As believers, we are called to trust, to be fearless, and to always acknowledge the greatness of God in our lives.
May this message continue to strengthen and encourage those who hear it, reminding them that Jehovah is always near, guiding and protecting His people.
