šļø The Log and the Speck in Eye: Judging Others āļø
Matthew 7:3-5 (English Standard Version)
Why do you see the speckĀ that is in your brother's eye?
But do you not noticeĀ the logĀ that is in your own eye?
Or how can you say to your brother,
āLet me take the speck outĀ of your eye,ā
when there is the logĀ in your own eye?
You hypocrite,
first take the log outĀ of your own eye,
and then you will see clearly
to take the speck outĀ of your brother's eye.
What does it mean to take a speck out of your brother's eye?
This means you are trying to correct your brother
for his small mistake,
When you have made a huge mistakes
or many mistakes.Ā š
This is what it means when it says, When there is a log in your own eye.
Log means you have made many mistakes.
But you as a hypocrite,
are trying to correct your brother
for his small mistake.Ā š
What does "hypocrite" mean?
HypocriteĀ means that you have done
the same thingsĀ you're trying to correct your brother for.
And/or you as a hypocrite still do these thingsĀ that you are judging your brother for.
Most of the time in secret,
So no one can see you.
God sees you all the time.Ā š
And knows your sins (your mistakes).
