- Earth’s New Mini-Moon: A Cosmic Visitor
09/23/2024 Earth’s New Mini-Moon: A Cosmic Visitor In an exciting astronomical event, Earth is about to welcome a new mini-moon! This small asteroid, temporarily captured by our planet’s gravity, will orbit Earth for a short period, adding a fascinating chapter to our understanding of the cosmos. What is a Mini-Moon? A mini-moon is a small asteroid that gets temporarily captured by a planet’s gravity. Unlike our permanent Moon, these mini-moons are transient visitors, staying in orbit for a limited time before continuing their journey through space. The Latest Discovery The newly discovered mini-moon, named 2024 PT₅, is approximately 10 meters in diameter1. It will be part of Earth’s orbit from September 29 until November 25, 20241. Although it won’t be visible to the naked eye or small telescopes, larger telescopes will be able to track its journey. Why It Matters Discoveries like this are crucial for several reasons: Scientific Research : Studying mini-moons helps scientists understand the dynamics of our solar system and the gravitational interactions between celestial bodies. Space Exploration : These small asteroids can serve as potential targets for future space missions, providing opportunities for exploration and resource utilization. Public Interest : Events like this capture the public’s imagination and inspire interest in astronomy and space science. Will You Be Able to See the New Moon? The new mini-moon, named 2024 PT₅, will be quite small and faint, measuring about 10 meters in diameter. Unfortunately, it won’t be visible to the naked eye or with small telescopes. However, larger telescopes will be able to track its journey while it orbits Earth from September 29 to November 25, 2024. What does the Bible say about the Moon? 1 Chronicles 23:31 And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the Lord in the sabbaths, in the new moons , and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the Lord: 2 Chronicles 2:4 Behold, I build an house to the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons , and on the solemn feasts of the Lord our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel. 2 Chronicles 8:13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons , and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles. 2 Chronicles 31:3 He appointed also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons , and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of the Lord. Ezra 3:5 And afterward offered the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons , and of all the set feasts of the Lord that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the Lord. Nehemiah 10:33 For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons , for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. Isaiah 1:13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Isaiah 1:14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. Ezekiel 45:17 And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons , and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel. Ezekiel 46:3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the Lord in the sabbaths and in the new moons . Hosea 2:11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons , and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. Conclusion While 2024 PT₅’s visit will be brief, it serves as a reminder of the dynamic and ever-changing nature of our solar system. Keep an eye on the skies and stay tuned for more cosmic discoveries!
- Revival at the University of Arkansas
A Mighty Move of God: Revival at the University of Arkansas In a powerful display of faith and unity, 10,000 students gathered at the University of Arkansas to seek Jesus Christ and find salvation in His name. This remarkable event, held at Bud Walton Arena, saw young people from 67 different universities come together, igniting a spiritual awakening that will be remembered for years to come. The Power of Unity in Christ The Bible speaks of the power of unity among believers. In Matthew 18:20 , Jesus says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Imagine the presence of the Lord when thousands gather with one heart and one purpose! This revival is a testament to the truth of this scripture, as students experienced the tangible presence of Jesus in their midst. A Call to Salvation The revival was not just a gathering; it was a call to salvation. Many students shared their testimonies, recounting how they had been lost but found hope and redemption in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:13 reminds us, “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” This promise was fulfilled as countless students called upon Jesus and received the gift of salvation. Baptisms: A Public Declaration of Faith Baptisms were a significant part of this revival, with hundreds of students choosing to publicly declare their faith in Jesus. Acts 2:41 tells us, “Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.” Just as in the early church, this revival saw a great number of baptisms, symbolizing a new beginning and a commitment to follow Christ. The Impact of Testimonies One powerful testimony shared during the event was from a young man who had been struggling with addiction. He testified, "I spent a lot of years running from God. I just came to Jesus about five weeks ago, but I got caught up in, I’ll just say it, cocaine and alcohol. I had a lot of really near-death experiences and I think Jesus had his hand on my life because I should not be here". His story is a reminder of 2 Corinthians 5:17 , “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” A Generation on Fire for God Evangelist Tanya Pruett, who has been instrumental in these campus revivals, believes that this generation is poised to usher in a great move of God. Joel 2:28 prophesies, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” This revival is a glimpse of that prophecy being fulfilled as young people passionately pursue God. Conclusion The revival at the University of Arkansas is a powerful reminder of God’s ability to move mightily among His people. As we reflect on this event, let us be encouraged by the words of Psalm 85:6 , “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” May this revival spark a continued hunger for God and a desire to see His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
- Christian Voters and Trump
Christian Voters and Trump: A Biblical Perspective In recent years, the intersection of faith and politics has become increasingly prominent, especially among Christian voters. One figure who has garnered significant attention and support from this demographic is former President Donald Trump. This blog post explores the reasons behind this support, grounded in biblical scriptures and Christian principles. The Role of Faith in Voting For many Christians, voting is not just a civic duty but a spiritual one. The Bible provides guidance on how believers should approach their responsibilities as citizens. 2 Chronicles 7:14 states: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” This verse emphasizes the importance of humility, prayer, and seeking God’s guidance in all decisions, including voting. Proverbs 14:34 adds: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.” This scripture underscores the belief that righteous leadership is crucial for the prosperity of a nation. Why Christian Voters Support Trump Donald Trump has received substantial support from white evangelicals and other conservative Christians1. Several factors contribute to this phenomenon: Pro-Life Stance: Trump’s administration took significant steps to protect the unborn, resonating with many pro-life Christians. Religious Freedom: Trump has been vocal about protecting religious liberties, which is a critical issue for many believers. Judicial Appointments: His appointment of conservative judges aligns with the values of many Christian voters. Romans 13:1-2 reminds believers: “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” This passage encourages Christians to respect and support leaders who uphold godly principles. Balancing Faith and Politics While many Christians support Trump, it is essential to remember that ultimate allegiance belongs to God. Acts 5:29 states: “Peter and the other apostles replied: ‘We must obey God rather than human beings!’” This verse serves as a reminder that while political leaders can influence society, they should not replace the divine authority of God. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 also advises: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” Christians are called to pray for their leaders, regardless of political affiliation, seeking God’s wisdom and guidance for them. Conclusion The support for Donald Trump among Christian voters is rooted in shared values and principles. By examining scriptures, believers can navigate the complex relationship between faith and politics, ensuring that their actions align with God’s will. As we approach future elections, let us remember to seek God’s guidance, pray for our leaders, and uphold righteousness in our nation.
- Fighting Between Israel and Lebanon
A Deepening Crisis: Israel and Lebanon September 20, 2024 - The conflict between Israel and Lebanon has escalated dramatically, marking one of the most intense periods of fighting in recent years. The latest surge in violence has seen heavy exchanges of fire, with significant impacts on both sides. Background of the Conflict The roots of the current conflict trace back to longstanding tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group. Over the past year, sporadic skirmishes have erupted into more frequent and severe clashes, culminating in the recent escalation. Recent Developments On September 20, Hezbollah launched multiple strikes targeting Israel’s military positions in the north, including the Golan Heights1. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out extensive airstrikes on southern Lebanon, marking the most intense bombardment in nearly a year2. The IDF reported that around 140 rockets were fired at Israeli territory. Humanitarian Impact The escalation has had a devastating impact on civilians. In Lebanon, the strikes have caused significant damage to infrastructure and led to numerous casualties. Reports indicate that at least 37 people were killed in a single Israeli strike on southern Beirut, including high-level Hezbollah commanders. The humanitarian situation is dire, with thousands of people displaced and in urgent need of aid. International Reactions The international community has expressed deep concern over the escalating violence. The United States has called for an urgent diplomatic solution to prevent further bloodshed. Meanwhile, regional powers are closely monitoring the situation, fearing that the conflict could spill over into neighboring countries. Scriptural Reflections In times of conflict, many turn to scripture for guidance and solace. Here are several Bible verses that speak to peace and conflict resolution: Psalm 34:14 : “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” Matthew 5:9 : “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Romans 12:18 : “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Hebrews 12:14 : “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Ephesians 4:3 : “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” These scriptures remind us of the importance of striving for peace and reconciliation, even in the midst of intense conflict. Looking Ahead As the conflict continues to unfold, the prospects for peace remain uncertain. Both sides have shown no signs of backing down, and the risk of a full-scale war looms large. The international community’s role in mediating and de-escalating the situation will be crucial in the coming days. Conclusion The intense fighting between Israel and Lebanon on September 20, 2024, underscores the fragile nature of peace in the region. As the world watches, the hope is that diplomatic efforts will prevail and bring an end to the violence that has plagued the lives of so many. This blog post aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the recent escalation between Israel and Lebanon, highlighting the key events and their implications. If you have any thoughts or questions, feel free to share them in the comments below. Let’s hope for a peaceful resolution soon.
- Free Money and Dating Scams
Beware of Free Money Scams In today’s digital age, scams have become increasingly sophisticated, targeting individuals from all walks of life. Among the most prevalent are free money scams and dating scams. These deceptive practices not only cause financial loss but also emotional distress. As Christians, we are called to be wise and discerning, protecting ourselves and others from such deceit. Let’s explore these scams and how we can safeguard our faith and finances. Free Money Scams Free money scams often promise large sums of money with little to no effort. These scams can appear as government grants, lottery winnings, or even charitable donations. The reality is, these offers are too good to be true. Scammers use these tactics to steal personal information or money. Scripture Insight: Proverbs 13:11 : “Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.” 1 Timothy 6:9-10 : “But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.” These verses remind us that true wealth comes from hard work and integrity, not from quick and deceitful gains. Dating Scams Dating scams, or romance scams, involve scammers creating fake profiles on dating sites or social media to build a relationship with their victims. Once trust is established, they fabricate stories to solicit money. These scams can be emotionally devastating, as victims often believe they are helping someone they care about. Scripture Insight: Proverbs 4:23 : “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” 1 John 4:1 : “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” These scriptures encourage us to protect our hearts and be discerning in our relationships, ensuring that we are not led astray by deceit. Impact on Christians Christians, like anyone else, can fall victim to scams. Our faith often encourages us to trust and help others, which scammers exploit. However, the Bible also calls us to be wise and vigilant. Scripture Insight: Matthew 10:16 : “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” Ephesians 5:15-16 : “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” These verses remind us to balance our trust and generosity with wisdom and caution. How to Protect Yourself Verify Sources : Always verify the legitimacy of any offer or request for money. Government agencies and legitimate organizations will never ask for personal information or payment through unsecure methods. Guard Personal Information : Never share personal or financial information with someone you haven’t met in person. Seek Counsel : If you’re unsure about a situation, seek advice from trusted friends, family, or church leaders. Report Scams : Report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities, such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Scripture Insight: Proverbs 11:14 : “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” By staying informed and vigilant, we can protect ourselves and others from the harm caused by scams. Let us continue to walk in wisdom and integrity, reflecting the love and truth of Christ in all we do. #StaySafeOnline, #GuardYourHeart, #WiseAsSerpents

- Dream of the Neptune People
A Spiritual Encounter In a recent dream, I found myself in the presence of beings from the planet Neptune. These extraordinary people, who have a stronger faith in God than we do, came to Earth to protect me. Their spacecraft was a sight to behold: rectangular, brown with rainbow colors adorning the sides. The Neptune men, standing at about 5 feet 10 inches tall, had black hair cut straight across the front. Despite their average appearance, they possessed incredible strength. The women, equally striking with their long black hair, were beautiful and graceful. The Arrival and the Mission The Neptune people surrounded my house, ready to protect me. However, they were momentarily distracted by beautiful women angels and left their post. During their absence, I was spiritually attacked by demons. Although the Neptune people returned, the damage had been done. This experience reminded me of the importance of unwavering vigilance in spiritual warfare. “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” - Psalm 91:11 The Role of the Neptune People Interestingly, the Neptune people integrated into our society by taking on various jobs. Some worked at McDonald’s, while others became police officers. Regardless of their occupation, their primary mission was to protect us. By spreading out and working in different places, they could offer better protection. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” - Ephesians 6:12 The End Times and Spiritual Warfare The dream also touched on the end times, as described in the Book of Revelation. The Neptune people, with their love for music (hence the word “tune” in Neptune), and their ability to travel through doors between planets, symbolize the spiritual battles we face and the divine protection we receive. “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels.” - Revelation 12:7 Conclusion This dream was a vivid reminder of the spiritual realm and the battles that occur beyond our physical sight. The Neptune people, with their faith and strength, serve as a metaphor for the divine protection we receive from God and His angels. It also highlights the importance of staying vigilant and faithful, even when faced with distractions and challenges. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” - Exodus 14:14 May this dream inspire you to strengthen your faith and remain steadfast in your spiritual journey. #SpiritualJourney, #DivineProtection, #NeptuneDream

- The Pursuit of Wisdom
The Pursuit of Wisdom in a Fleeting Life How can one claim to be wise and knowledgeable, when the biggest percentage of people don’t even live to be a hundred years old? Therefore, you only have 100 years or less to obtain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. So if you think you know it all, most likely you do not. 100 years is not very long compared to Eternity in heaven or hell. Thousands of years ago, God and the angels created the Earth and us. Which means they are well over the age of thousand years old. Hebrews 13:2 states that Angels Walk Among Us, therefore they look like us, or you would know that you were talking to an angel. Angels can be in spirit form which you cannot see them, and they can appear as a human form where you can see them. Have you encountered someone who you thought to be an angel? People read their Bible about angels and say they believe, but in general they do not. Reflecting on Our Limited Time The Bible reminds us of the brevity of life. Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” This verse emphasizes the importance of recognizing our limited time on Earth and using it wisely to seek understanding and knowledge. The Eternal Perspective In contrast to our short lifespan, eternity is immeasurable. Ecclesiastes 3:11 states, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” This verse highlights the eternal nature of God’s creation and our place within it. Angels Among Us The presence of angels is a fascinating aspect of Christian belief. Hebrews 13:2 indeed tells us, “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” This scripture encourages us to be kind and hospitable, as we may be entertaining angels unaware. Conclusion In our pursuit of wisdom and understanding, let us remember the limited time we have and the eternal perspective that awaits us. Reflect on the possibility of angels among us and the profound impact of living a life grounded in faith and kindness. #Wisdom, #AngelsAmongUs, #EternalPerspective
- Heart, Mind, and Soul: A Biblical Perspective
Heart, Mind, and Soul—What is the Difference? Mark 12:30-31 : “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” The Bible verse above beautifully encapsulates the essence of loving God and others with every part of our being. But what exactly are the heart, mind, and soul, and how do they differ? The Heart Your heart possesses an area called the sinus node, which is often referred to as the “life of the body.” This is because your soul is connected to your heart and sends electrical impulses to your brain and throughout your entire body. Without the sinus node in your heart, you would be dead. Doctors consider you clinically dead once all the electricity has left your body, indicating that your soul has departed. This suggests that your soul is an invisible entity, akin to a ghost, like the Holy Ghost. The Soul God has shown me how quickly information can travel from the soul to the brain—it takes less than a second. Your soul contains information, including dramatic events that have happened to you, even if you don’t consciously remember them. While doctors might refer to this as the subconscious mind, in reality, it is your soul. The soul is not the same as the mind or brain. The Mind The mind, or brain, is distinct from the soul. The Bible states that God knows your thoughts in your heart, which implies that not all thoughts are processed by the brain. Psalm 139:1-6: "O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I'm far away". First Corinthians 3:20: "The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile". Acts 1:24: "The apostles prayed and said, 'You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen to [be Judas's replacement].'" Luke 16:15: Jesus taught, “God knows your hearts”. Mark 2:8; 8:17; Luke 5:22; 9:47: Jesus perceived the hearts and thoughts of men during his earthly ministry. Hebrews 4:12: God's word discerns “thoughts and intentions of the heart ”. Revelation 2:23: Jesus tells John that “I am he who searches minds and hearts " If the brain processed all thoughts, the Bible would say, God knows everything in your mind, as thoughts in your mind are similar to like the soul. This distinction highlights the unique roles of the heart, mind, and soul in our spiritual and physical existence. In summary, the heart, mind, and soul are interconnected yet distinct aspects of our being. The heart, with its sinus node, is the physical center of life, connected to the soul. The soul is the repository of our deepest experiences and emotions, while the mind processes thoughts and information. Understanding these differences can deepen our appreciation of the commandment to love God and others with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. #BiblicalWisdom, #SpiritualUnderstanding, #FaithJourney
- The Illusion of Ownership: A Modern-Day Slavery?
Slavery : This is when one person completely owns and controls another person, forced or forcing them to do things, and taking away their freedom and rights. When we talk about freedom and rights, a glaring question arises: why can you not truly own your property? You paid for it, not the government. Yet, if you can’t afford to pay property taxes, the government will take it away, lining their pockets in the process. Does this mean we were robbed years ago when property taxes were introduced? You don’t have the right to own anything except your vehicle and personal belongings inside your house.
