Scope This policy applies to all guests, staff, volunteers, visitors, and contractors at Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters. Definition of Weapons Weapons include, but are not limited to: Firearms (handguns, rifles, shotguns, etc.). Knives with blades longer than 3 inches (excluding kitchen utensils used for shelter purposes). Explosives, fireworks, or incendiary devices. Tasers, stun guns, or other electronic disabling devices. Brass knuckles, clubs, bats, or other objects intended to be used as weapons. Any item that could be used to intimidate, harm, or threaten others. Policy Enforcement 1. Prohibited Possession Individuals found in possession of a weapon will be asked to immediately remove the weapon from the premises. If a weapon is discovered during entry or while on the premises, staff may confiscate the weapon temporarily and notify law enforcement if necessary. 2.
