A Message of Faith and Hope from Archbishop Amin Gill of Jehovah Saints Pakistan

Archbishop Amin Gill of Jehovah Saints Pakistan has a heartfelt message to share with the world, one that highlights the miraculous power of Jesus Christ and the hope found in His Word. Recently, Archbishop Gill led a Sunday service in the village of Chak No. 198 JB Gojra, where he shared an inspiring message from the Gospel of Luke. He read and reflected on Luke 8:40-49, a passage that reveals one of the incredible miracles of Jesus—raising a young girl from the dead.

During the service, Archbishop Gill recited this moving story, which begins with a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, who comes to Jesus with a desperate request. Jairus’ only daughter, just twelve years old, is gravely ill and on the brink of death. With a heart full of faith and urgency, Jairus pleads with Jesus to come to his home and heal his daughter. Despite the pressing crowd surrounding Him, Jesus listens to Jairus and begins the journey to his home.

However, before they arrive, devastating news comes: the girl has died. Those around Jairus tell him there is no longer any need to trouble Jesus. But Jesus, full of compassion and divine authority, turns to Jairus and says, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed” (Luke 8:50). When they reach the house, Jesus takes the girl by the hand and speaks life into her, saying, “My child, get up!” Instantly, her spirit returns, and she rises, leaving everyone in awe of God’s power and mercy.

Archbishop Gill explained the deep meaning of this miracle and its relevance to our lives today. This story is a powerful reminder that no matter how hopeless a situation may seem, Jesus is able to bring life, healing, and restoration. His words to Jairus—“Don’t be afraid; just believe”—are words we can hold onto in our own times of fear, doubt, or despair. Jesus calls us to trust Him completely, even when the circumstances seem impossible.

This passage also reflects the boundless compassion and love of Jesus. Despite the chaos of the crowd and the interruptions along the way, Jesus stopped to listen to Jairus and acted on his behalf. This reminds us that Jesus is never too busy to hear our prayers or intervene in our lives. As it says in Psalm 145:18, “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”

Archbishop Gill emphasized that this miracle is not just a historical event but a living testimony of the power of faith. Just as Jesus brought hope and life to Jairus’ family, He can bring hope and transformation to our lives today. The Bible assures us in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” The same miraculous power that raised Jairus’ daughter is still at work in the lives of those who believe.

The Archbishop also encouraged the congregation to trust in God’s plan, even in the face of trials. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” When we place our faith in Jesus, we can rest assured that He is in control and working for our good.

Archbishop Amin Gill’s message is a call to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the world. It is a reminder that God’s love, power, and grace are available to all who believe. His message from the village of Chak No. 198 JB Gojra serves as a beacon of hope for anyone facing challenges, reminding us that with God, nothing is impossible (Matthew 19:26). Amen.
