Worship in Gujra: Archbishop Amin Gill’s Message of Faith

Archbishop Amin Gill of the Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan shared a heartfelt message and photo with Brother Michael Hopkins. He wanted to highlight the spiritual significance of the worship conducted on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in a colony in Gujra.

"I conducted worship in a colony in Gujra, in which I recited the Holy Word from the Book of Exodus, Chapter 13:1-10. Amen."

1. The Message from Exodus 13:1-10

This passage focuses on the Lord’s command to consecrate the firstborn of Israel, a reminder of His mighty deliverance from Egypt. It emphasizes the importance of remembering God's powerful hand in rescuing His people and dedicating the first and best to Him.

  • Exodus 13:2:

"Consecrate to me all the firstborn. Whatever is the first to open the womb among the people of Israel, both of man and of beast, is mine."

  • Exodus 13:9:

"And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth. For with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt."

Archbishop Gill's choice of scripture reminds us to honor God with our lives and remember His faithfulness in delivering us from bondage.

2. The Significance of Worship in the Colony

The worship conducted in Gujra highlights the commitment of Jehovah Saints Church to spreading God’s Word in all places, including underserved communities. This act of ministry reflects the heart of the Gospel: reaching out to all people with the love and truth of Christ.

  • Matthew 28:19-20:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

  • Isaiah 61:1:

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound."

Through this worship, Archbishop Gill brought the light of God’s Word to the people in Gujra, reminding them of His deliverance and love.

3. A Call to Dedication and Remembrance

The theme of dedication in Exodus 13 resonates deeply with believers today. Just as the Israelites were called to consecrate their firstborn to the Lord, we are called to dedicate our lives fully to Him, remembering His great works in our lives.

  • Romans 12:1:

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship."

  • Psalm 77:11-12:

"I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds."

This worship gathering serves as a powerful reminder to keep God’s Word at the center of our lives and to share His truth with others.

Final Reflection

Archbishop Gill’s dedication to spreading the Gospel and leading worship in Gujra is an inspiring example of faith in action. The message from Exodus 13:1-10 calls us to remember God’s faithfulness, dedicate ourselves to Him, and proclaim His mighty works to the world.

"Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples!"(Psalm 96:3)

May this testimony encourage us to honor God in all we do and share His love with those around us.
